Ingredients
2 pounds chicken wings
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)
For Buffalo Sauce
1/2 cup hot sauce (like Frank's RedHot)
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 tablespoon vinegar
Instructions
Prepare the Wings:
Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps to ensure they get crispy.
In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper (if using). Make sure the wings are evenly coated.
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for about 5 minutes.
Cook the Wings:
Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook them in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
Cook the wings for 25-30 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking. For extra crispiness, increase the temperature to 400°F (204°C) for the last 5 minutes.
Make the Buffalo Sauce:
While the wings are cooking, mix the hot sauce, melted butter, and vinegar in a small bowl until combined.
Toss the Wings:
Once the wings are done, carefully transfer them to a large bowl. If using the Buffalo sauce, pour it over the hot wings and toss to coat evenly.
Serve:
Serve the wings hot with your favorite dipping sauces, like ranch or blue cheese, and enjoy!
Tips
Crispier Wings: For even crispier wings, you can let them air dry in the refrigerator for a few hours before cooking.
Flavor Variations: Feel free to experiment with different seasonings or sauces, such as BBQ or teriyaki.
Enjoy your delicious and crispy air fryer chicken wings!
Indulgence.
